Murray Alter Murray Alter is a Tax Partner in the New York Office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He is the National Tax Leader of the Venture Capital Practice. His clients include venture capital firms, SBIC's, venture backed companies, and Technology companies of all kinds. Murray has over 28 years of experience. He was on The Editorial Board of Faulkner & Gray's "The Journal of S Corporation Taxation" and has edited two Matthew Bender texts on S Corporation and Partnership taxation. He also reviewed McGraw-Hill/Shepard's reference volume "Business Dictionary of Tax Terms". He has been quoted in Crain's, Wall Street Journal, Boardroom Reports, Inc. magazine and numerous trade publications, as well as having appeared on CNBC, CNN , CBS MarketWatch and NBC Nightly News. He received his B.S. (Accounting) from Brooklyn College and has an M.B.A. (Tax) from L.I.U., both with Honors. He is a NYS Certified Public Accountant, a member of the NYSSCPA's, AICPA, and the American Electronic Association. He is also a Charter Member of the New York New Media Association and the NY Software Industry Association which recently gave him a Public Service Award for his lobbying efforts for tax incentives and tax reductions from NYS.
